You’ll tell me you don’t… but you already think you know
what my story’s about.
You have no idea.
Just like the people sitting in this courtroom.
She asked for it.  That’s what they keep saying.
And no, it’s not because my skirt was too short or I was
drunk at a party.
It’s nothing like that.  It’s because of what I like
and how I like it.
They’re judging me as I sit in the front row, my eyes drawn
to the man on trial.
If I’d known it was going to end like this, I never would
have gone home with him.
But he’s the type of man I just can’t say no to.
I wanted to feel his lips kiss down my neck.
I dreamed of running my fingers along the rough stubble on
his jaw.
I craved his hands on me, pinning me down.
I needed to whisper his name in the dark, late at
You still think you know what happened? You don’t.
He’s innocent and I enjoyed every second I was with him.

Reviewer: Kim
Rating: 4.5 Groupie StarsThis was my first book by the author, but I think this was a good book to start with. I don’t think the blurb gave the book justice. It was so good it stood out to me in so many ways. The story was insane with how much that went on and how much that was thrown at the reader.
The book was dark, very gritty and the characters broken pasts that left you reeling. The story was a slow build up and full of emotions. There was a lot of mystery and answers to be had which made the reader go on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
Ally and Dean were made for each other. I liked that it wasn’t the standard 1 character has the bad past and the other character tries to save them and pull them out of their turmoil. Both characters had a bad past which made them perfect for each other. They had a strong connection and found strength to get over the past but have enough left to save each other.
This is one of the stories where you think you no exactly what’s going on but in actual fact you have no clue. I loved it was so unpredictable.
This was a brilliant book to start reading the authors work to. I’m now going to go binge read more of her books.
