Series: Here & Now #2
A disheartened cynic.
Despite battling cancer, defeating death, and an overprotective family; he believes in promises of forever, enchanted encounters, and love at first sight. He knows his perfect girl is out there …
If only he could find her.
Zadie Fisher doesn’t believe in love. At least, she doesn’t want to.
Despite undeniable attraction, second chances, and resurrected hope; she doesn’t believe in soulmates, true love, or happily ever after. Not anymore. She knows falling in love is a mistake …
If only she could avoid it.
But fate has a funny way of twisting things, and some mistakes are destined to be made.
Most fairy tales start with Once Upon A Time …
This one starts with a kiss.
Cale was such a dreamer, a lover, a hopeless romantic. He knew he would find love, be head over heals and never let go. His love would be forever.
Zadie couldn’t have been more of his opposite. I wanted to choke her at times. He was right there, her Prince Charming, her Knight in shining armor but she didn’t believe in fairytale or love.
They had some very unconventional circumstances between the two of them but they only made them perfect for each other. What she thought was a situation that would or should keep them apart was actually something that made them perfect for each other. It warmed my heart and made me smile when it all came to light.
When I got this book I didn’t know it was part of series, but it is a complete standalone. One thing it did do was introduce me to the characters of the other books and now I want to read them. Then there was that revelation near the end, Yep definitely need that story! Can’t wait for the next one!
gets her motivation from coffee and good books. She enjoys lively
conversations, usually with imaginary people, and can often be found staring
wistfully into space. Her novels are emotional, sexy, contemporary romances with strong women, broken
alphas, and a kinky beta or two–all of them, fiercely passionate.
