world to see. Five years of trying to find the girl I hid from the world.
into the building? He’d made my high school years a living hell.
a one-night stand.
So I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. I got sadness, angst, steam and romance! I loved this book and am now hooked and anxiously awaiting book 2 in the Jaded Ivory series!
Book one is about Mari Cosmann, the lead singer in the band Jaded Ivory. Mari left behind who she was in high school years ago. She’s let go of lost of her past but still the hurt lingers so when she sees a ghost from her past and he doesn’t recognize her she thinks she can make him pay for what he put her through.
Cole Wallace left the pink he was in high school in the dust, along with his NFL dreams. Now a high school football coach and teacher, he finds out that the girl he use to torment is now a successful singer he finds her hard to forget. Now he needs to get her to let go of his past and give him a chance.
Can these two make it work with Mari and her budding career as a rock star and Cole’s job? Will Mari make Cole pay for his past life forever or will she give him an chance? Can Cole put his past behind him and make Mari and his relationship work?
I loved this couple! Mari was a good heroine, though she tended to jump to conclusions but I loved her fire and her band mates! My heart broke for Mari and the torment she endured when she was growing up. Cole was a great hero full of steam and swoon worthy moments! He really changed since he was younger and wanted to make a difference with his students.
I can’t wait to get more about this band! I loved them all and hope the next one come out soon!! I hope it’s Sawyers!!
