It was supposed to be fun.
A mutual use of each other’s bodies.
To be a ruse to the world around us.
I wanted to be free from my ex, and he wanted to escape his.
One drunken night turned a joke into a life-changing moment.
He warned me not to fall for him, and I should’ve listened.
He intoxicated me.
He made me crave him.
He ruined me.
In the end, I’ll never be the same.

It’s been a while since a Hope Town book got released, but I have been waiting patiently for this book because even in Nate and Ember’s book I knew Shane and Nikki would be on fire! Harper did not disappoint in that aspect!!
Shane is over relationships, Lacey, the now ex he’s been trying to get rid of for over a year, won’t let go. Shane now finds himself with the option of a mutual beneficial relationship with the woman he’s been lusting after longer than has been right. Can Shane make sure Nikki and himself follow the don’t fall in love rule?
Nikki has been been trying to get Seth to move on from her, but he just isn’t getting the hint. Maybe this deal with Shane can get her all she wants, Seth to back off and a little steam between her sheets.
Shane and Nikki steamship the pages of this book and we get to see some of our Hope Town heroes and Heroines too! Shane and Nikki were fire in this book and I loved their banter! Nikki maybe just as submissive as Shane prefers, but she can give just back attitude just as much as Shane!
I truly loved this book by Harper Sloan, it had humor, fire and steam to spare! I only had one thing that kind of lost a half star for me, while I liked the ending, I wanted a little more! I always prefer an epilogue that is a few years in the future, though the one year gap we got was a nice! I hope we get to see more of these two in future Hope Town Books!
Definitely one-Click worthy!!
