This book is heartbreaking and sweet both at the same time! I loved it!
Guilt and depression are ugly monsters that take hold of a person’s life and control it. The person who suffers is just sad and and doesn’t feel worthy of happiness. That is life Cora was living and she broke my heart!
Enter Brady he is a beautiful ray of sunshine in her dark lonely world. With patience and kindness he slowly brought her out of her darkness and into light. He was so sweet letting her slowly move from strangers, to friends, to lovers.
Cora told him her story but held back the worst of it. Brady also had a secret, a secret that could be more than Cora could take. That secret could send her running, right back into her comfortable darkness.
I so enjoyed Britni’s West Palm series but this is probably my favorite book of hers by far. I love a book that makes you feel every word.
